In October 2009, AHEC (American Hardwood Export Council) welcomed 150 delegates from around the world to its European Convention in Athens. The Convention provides an opportunity for representatives from the timber trade to network and gather information on the market conditions, forecasts and trends which will impact on their businesses in the future.
The creative collaboration between the Design Development Director of Established & Sons, Sebastian Wrong, and artist Richard Woods continues with the ‘Bench Press’ seating installation for the entrance foyer of the V&A Museum, the hub for this year’s London Design Festival. The Dubai Wood Show provides focus for the wood industry in the Middle East-North Africa (MENA) region. For the third consecutive year, AHEC, with support from the Hardwood Export States Group, organised a large pavilion for US hardwood exporters at the Dubai Wood Show 2009. AHEC also hosted an evening seminar and reception at the Park Hyatt Hotel on Tuesday 21st April.
